Mark Blackwell has been an integral part of the Hopkins & Sons family for an impressive 30 years. Currently serving as the Vice President of Operations, he has consistently demonstrated amazing leadership skills, teamwork and expertise in every role that he has held over the past three decades. His deep understanding of operations and his commitment to success has played a vital role in shaping our company.
Mark’s career actually began in the automotive industry. He attended an automotive trade school, where he studied various aspects of automotive technology. After graduating in 1982, he went on to work at several dealerships as an automotive technician. After a failed business venture with a friend, he took a job at a repair facility but did not enjoy it much and eventually left. While at a social event, he connected with a family friend who offered him a job, and that’s when he joined Hopkins & Sons.
He started as a fleet mechanic and progressed through a number of roles on his way to his current position. As the Vice President of Operations, he is responsible for managing employees, recording their credentials and qualifications, as well as overseeing maintenance of buildings and vehicles of the company. He manages the day-to-day operations and conducts periodic inspections to ensure everything is running smoothly. With his experience and passion, he has created a strong team that provides our clients with the best service.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife of 33 years. They have a daughter together who sometimes joins them on family camping trips with her husband and daughter. Mark and his wife often spend time with their daughter and her family for Sunday dinners and Disney cruises. At this stage of his life, Mark looks forward to the simple pleasures that being around a loving family brings.
